Job Title: HR Assistant

- Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology.
- 3+ years working experience.

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment
- Aid and support in the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations.
- Collaborate with Line managers ensure timely fulfillment of positions.
Employee Relations and Engagement
- Promoting open communication, teamwork, and employee engagement
- Advise the HR Manager regarding employee concerns and grievances in a timely and fair manner, ensuring an elevated level of satisfaction and retention
- Aid implementation of team-building activities, social events, and recognition programs to enhance employee morale and motivation.
Performance Management
- Provide support to management on the Performance Management Process, Probations and Personal Development Plans
- Sit in on performance reviews, probation reviews and personal development plan meetings for Jnr employees to ensure fairness
HR Policies and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies related to employment practices.
- Provide insight into updates that may affect HR policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
HR Administration and Reporting
- Oversee HR administrative functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and personnel recordkeeping.
- Prepare HR metrics and reports to track key performance indicators and identify trends.
HR Procedures
- Provide insights into updates on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the HR life cycle and train the HR team accordingly
Build the Company Climate and Culture
- Assist in implementation of mechanisms to drive and maintain the company culture at all levels.
- Assist in annual climate surveys to assess employee perceptions and foster an open-door policy within the HR team
HR Documentation
- Ensure prompt and efficient scanning and saving of employee documentation.
- Maintain a File Gap Analysis to ensure documentation completeness.
Employee Life Cycle
- Assist in smooth operational delivery throughout the employee life cycle, including recruitment, engagement and onboarding, performance appraisal, labor relations, employment equity, skills development, health and safety, job grading, employee wellness, industrial relations, injuries on duty, leave, payroll, terminations, exit interviews, and issuance of certificates of service.
